Robert R. McCormick Foundation (Veterans Program)

The McCormick Foundation’s veterans grants are invite-only and focus on Chicagoland organizations delivering employment, legal, or community integration services. FOH’s national scholarship portfolio lacks the geographic concentration they require, and there is no open application channel.
Recommendation: Revisit only if FOH launches a Chicago-specific initiative with a local partner or secures a warm introduction from a McCormick trustee. Meanwhile, concentrate major-gift efforts on Illinois donors and corporate partners who can support scholarships directly.
